Luca Shaw

Luca Shaw

The North Carolina native caught the American race scene off guard, exhibiting his skills across the East Coast before getting a shot at the world stage. Picked up by the SRAM/TLD program, Shaw was given the opportunity to contend for a junior World Cup championship, eventually coming up short to teammate Loris Vergier, before moving up to the Elite ranks. Shaw’s effortless and calculated style that mirrors that of mentor and now teammate Greg Minnaar earned him podium finishes and a much-deserved spot on the Santa Cruz Syndicate. American downhill is on the rise and Shaw is very much part of that.
