UCI DH #6: The return of Super Bruni!

UCI DH #6: The return of Super Bruni!

AS THE CIRCUIT HEADED TO NORTH AMERICA ONE MAN WAS IN SEARCH OF REDEMPTION FROM A SEASON OF STRUGGLE.

The World Cup circuit has been coming to MSA since 1993 and its high-speed straights and rocky wood sections have become notorious among riders and fans alike. Thunderstorms during the first day of practice turned the track up a few notches and posed more of a challenge than ever before. One man wasn’t phased.

6 rounds, 6 wins.. Vali Höll's season of dominance continues and her times are getting closer and closer to those on the Elite Women’s podium.

When Kade Edwards wasn’t finding gaps off the roof of his team house he was looking great on track! 2nd place in MSA, peaking in time for World Champs?

The battle for Elite Women’s supremacy has boiled down to two riders in 2018. Tahnee came up short in MSA and now sits 110 back heading into the finals in France.

2018 has been somewhat of an odd year for Rachel Atherton but her MSA race run was classic Atherton, retaining the leader's jersey with one round to go.

Greg Minnaar returned to racing in Mont Sainte Anne after being sidelined with a broken arm. 10th in qualifying and 16th in finals with a crash; the Syndicate rider enjoyed a solid return to the track and is looking strong for the next two races!

Mont Sainte Anne was Gee Atherton’s 100th World Cup DH race. Despite battling a still broken wrist, Gee Atherton pushed hard to secure his first top 10 of the season!

Smooth as ever, Luca Shaw just missed the podium in MSA, finishing in 6th. There are two races left in 2018 and you shouldn’t count him out for either of them.

Continuing strongly on what must be the season of his life, Loris Vergier finished 5th in MSA, keeping hold of his #2 plate in the process.

The Redcar Rocket was in full force on the wide open pistes of the MSA racetrack. 3rd place today and itching for more.

Troy Brosnan put down a seemingly flawless run for his best result of the season, ultimately beating all but one of his competition.

It’s been a trying few months for the World Champion with crashes, injuries, and missed opportunities far more present than he would have hoped. Second in qualifying gave some hope for a turnaround and finals couldn’t have gone much better. Super Bruni has returned!
