A winter of predictions fell short as hard charging Kiwi Wyn Masters captured his first EWS victory amidst the madness of a rain soaked season opener.

New winners, repeat winners, young guns and veterans; The Enduro World Series kicked off it’s 5th season with a bang, pushing riders to their limits and providing them a stage to display their winter’s work.

You can always count on the Santa Cruz duo of Mark Scott and Iago Garay to bring some fun to practice.

As the rain came down Rotorua felt more and more like Scotland for Joe Barnes.

Wyn Masters looked good on track from the outset, a sign of things to come maybe..

Never count out the Devinci pairing of Damien Oton and Theo Galy.

Race day brought challenging weather for all but it wasn’t enough to slow Cecile Ravanal down; she went on to win the race and all but one stage!

10th place marks a strong start to the season for Mark Scott.

Did anyone see this podium coming? After an arduous day of racing, just 6 seconds divided the three fun loving Kiwi’s, with Wyn taking home the victory.
